Children interpret a negative response as having not posed the question properlyor asked the right person! Where you might be the recipient of a negative response, accept how your question might need to be rephrased. This might be true if youve inadvertently viewed the outcome as benefiting only you. Someone else might want to know they stand to benefit, too.
