This is symbolic of financial difficulty, lacking basic necessities, material and spiritual poverty, and hopelessness. It represents the pain, debt, and loss that can occur when someone doesn't have enough money to provide for their basic needs. Although this is a very difficult time, it also can serve as a reminder that one must take action to improve one's personal situation. The only way to move forward is with directed action, and not paying attention to personal needs can lead to this situation.
